If you did that, Go on with this steps:

1. Download Bitdefender 2008 Total Security DO NOT INSTALL YET!!
2. Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\ and right click the "host" file-> properties Like this:


3. Deselect read-only and click ok Like below:


4. Now open "host" with notepad. Add
Quote:<img align="left" alt="" />127.0.0.1 update.bitdefender.com
to the host file. it should look Like Below:


Then save and close host file. (VISTA USERS CHECK BELOW IF U CANT SAVE)
5. Ok, now install Bitdefender
6. After your done, they're should be a registeration wizard that popped up.
7. Download my Keymaker
8. Now use the keymeker to register the product.
9. After you are finished with the registeration wizard, restart your computer.
10. Now when it prompts you to Update, Go Ahead!! You can Update now
Without any problems!


Host File in Windows Vista?

If you cant save the hosts file then go to the hosts file properties and select the SECURITY tab, Select the edit permissions button and then choose your username and select all the squares in the second box. Click apply and then u can edit and save it.
(it must say USER\Administrator)

Open Control Panel and go to Folder Options.
Now click second tab and select "display hidden files and system files"
