The "Live in New York" series has often gotten bad reviews, and in many cases, justifiably so. Never mind the sound quality - to me, that is not the issue, since everyone knows these recordings were made with a portable DAT machine. In terms of fidelity, they are only for hardcore fans of Jaco. So I don't listen to these recordings for sound quality, I listen to them to get more glimpses into Jaco's playing. In this light, some of the "Live in NYC" series are disheartening, chronicling an artist in decline.

btw... this was never released as a box set, just thought i'd put it in one upload anyway :)
